Tasks
- Lead or play a leading role in the packaging, engineering design, release and launch of exterior systems of a state-of-the-art car
- Create cutting-edge exterior systems focusing on quality, reliability, functionality, mass and cost efficiency
- Work interactively within a cross-functional studio and vehicle engineering team, placing priority upon the greater benefit of the vehicle above any one individual system
- Employ and develop world-class engineering tools and an innovative approach to supporting the system's generation
- Contribute to building an excellent exterior systems engineering team
Qualifications
- Strong fundamental knowledge and experience in door trims, pillar trims, Instrument Panel, Center Console, module design, development and validation of passenger or commercial vehicles.
- Strong design experience of at least 1 complete product life cycle starting from concept phase to SOP in Automotive Systems.
- Strong experience in Tooling, Manufacturing/Assembly and Service Feasibility on Automotive interior Systems.
- Experience in developing engineering models and Generating the concept sections, master sections and Engineering for style surface maturation and finalization
- Experience and awareness of AIS, FMVSS, ECE, EURONCAP, regulations applicable for vehicle collision, Interior Impact, defrosting, demisting and flammability of interior materials.
- Well experienced in the design tools like QFD, DFMEA, and DFMA.
- Expert in Catia V5 or UGNX modelling in all modules (Solid, surface, assembly design and kinematics).
- Good knowledge and experience of GD&T application on plastic parts & tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Good in Communication and Presentation skills, Conceptual thinking.
