Description

Test Objects & Facilitation is a department within the Project Center and is responsible for the test objects continuous life cycle including to define, coordinate and facilitate test objects for the different projects according to the verification tactics. Our fleet consist of different types of prototype vehicles, engine rigs and boxcars (complete electrical test rigs). We are working closely with our sister department, Verification and Analysis to ensure optimal test object usage.
As a Test Object Build Leader, you are responsible to ensure that required test objects (boxcars, electrical test rigs and/or cars) are available in time for the planned test activities. You will be part of the test object management team, led by the Prototype build manager but also have close contact with our colleagues in China. You will be involved throughout the process, from defining the BoM to coordinating test object build and usage, including from material order to delivery tracking together with our purchasing team.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to build test objects.
• Plan, prepare and secure test object content (BoM) including material tracking
• Prepare status reports
• Assist in the physical assembly by providing required information about the test object content
• Work closely with respective verification team to define test object content
• Manage/ participate in the weekly material management meetings
• Participate in the development work of test objects to secure maximal test value
• Ensure that TO&F meets the set quality goals by providing necessary information
• Assist in providing efficient work methods within its own function
• Keep close contact with Chinese counterparts. (Travels to China may be required)
• Support TOD in time with correct status according to specification
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional build team from MRD to TOD

Tasks

• Assist in the physical assembly of electrical rigs by providing required information about the content.
• Initiate and maintain a continuous dialogue with involved PSS representatives to secure node
compatibility for carry-over parts.
• Collect and report build status and build plan to relevant forums
• Plan and lead Build Meetings, including securing meeting minutes
• Participate in rig related activities before MRD
• Secure found faults/issues on rigs are resolved
• Contribute to the continuous development of rigs to ensure maximal test value
• Planning of work orders towards Rig Technicians
• Contribute to the continuous development of the team and organization
• Support the daily work in the rig workshop

Qualifications

• Appropriate academic qualifications and/or relevant work experience. Bachelor of Science within
relevant field (e.g Computer, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering etc.)
• Cultural awareness, especially China – Europe culture.
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both in written and spoken.
• General knowledge of vehicle components and vehicle structure
Advantage
• General knowledge of electrical vehicle components
• Experience of integration testing with CAN/LIN/Flexray/Ethernet networks.
• Experience of function tests in relevant test objects.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin)
