Description

Test Objects & Facilitation (TO&F) is responsible for the test object continuous life cycle including to define, coordinate and facilitate test objects according to the verification tactics for the different projects.
Our fleet consist of different types of prototype vehicles, simulators, and boxcars (complete electrical test rigs). We are working closely with our sister department who is responsible for the overall test planning,
to ensure optimal test object usage.


As a Test Object Engineer, you are responsible to ensure that required test objects (boxcars, electrical test rigs, simulator and/or vehicles) are available in time for the planned test activities. You will be part of the test object management team, led by the Prototype build manager but also have close contact with our colleagues in China.


You may be involved throughout the entire process, from defining the BoM to coordinating test object build and usage, including material order to delivery tracking.



Tasks

Your primary focus area will be the Driving Simulator.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage and maintain the test object
• Plan, prepare and secure test object content
• Plan and lead meetings, including securing meeting minutes
• Prepare and present status reports and plans in relevant forums
• Participate in the development work of test objects to secure maximal test value
• Ensure that TO&F meets the set quality goals by providing necessary information
• Assist in providing efficient work methods within its own function
• Support Test Object delivery (TOD) in time with correct status according to specification
• Secure and handle found faults/issues in rigs
• Contribute to the continuous development of the team and organization



Qualifications

• Appropriate academic qualifications and/or relevant work experience. Bachelor of Science within relevant field (e.g Computer, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering etc.)
• General knowledge of vehicle components and vehicle structure
• Previous experience within driving simulation
• Strong leadership and self-leadership skills
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both in written and spoken.
• Cultural awareness, especially China – Europe culture.
